Note: This single sign-on (SSO) access is only available after each user has been added into your organization’s student information system (SIS) and shared from ClassLink to Hatch Insights™.
Your ClassLink administrator needs to provide access to Ignite by Hatch™ for all users.
Hatch™ offers two apps to ClassLink users: Ignite by Hatch™ and Hatch Insights™. For more information about the apps, see this article: [Org Admins, School Admins, Teachers, Families] Hatch™ Apps for Auto Roster Customers.
Ignite by Hatch™: Children, Teachers, and Families
We have one ClassLink app for all types of users. Depending on the device you're using, this app will either launch the web version of Ignite or the app version.
Note: You may be prompted to download the app version if you have not done so already. View Ignite device and system requirements.
SSO With ClassLink
Ignite can be launched via the ClassLink mobile app or by logging in to the ClassLink launchpad on the device where the app is installed.

Open ClassLink, and select the Ignite by Hatch™ app.

Child ClassLink accounts will be sent directly to the Tree House to begin play.

Teacher ClassLink accounts will see either a class selection screen or the child login screen, where a child’s photo must be selected to begin play.

Family member ClassLink accounts will see the child login screen, where a child’s photo must be selected to begin play.

Note: Administrator ClassLink accounts will not be able to access the Ignite by Hatch™ experiences.
Logging in With Hatch™
ClassLink users who do not want to use the ClassLink application for SSO into Ignite can still use their email and password to log in to Ignite.
If you already have an email and password for Hatch™:

Open the Ignite app on your mobile device, or open Ignite on your Google Chrome browser (Ignite™ by Hatch®).

At the login screen, enter your known email and password, and click the Log In button.
If you do not have an email and password for Hatch™ or you don’t remember your password:

Open the Ignite app on your mobile device, or open Ignite on your Google Chrome browser (Ignite™ by Hatch®).

At the login screen, click Forgot Your Password?

Enter the email associated with your Hatch™ account, and click Send Me a Link.

Check your inbox for an email with instructions to complete a password reset.
IgniteTable by Hatch™: Children, Teachers, and Families
- Touch the Sign-in With ClassLink button on the IgniteTable login screen.
- Enter your ClassLink teacher credentials to log in.
Note: Child ClassLink accounts will not be able to access IgniteTable.
Hatch Insights™: Administrators, Teachers, and Parents
SSO With ClassLink
Insights can be launched via the ClassLink mobile app or by logging in to the ClassLink launchpad on the mobile device on which the app is installed.

Open ClassLink, and select the Insights app.

Alternatively, visit the Hatch Insights™ site, and click the Sign in with ClassLink button. If you are already logged in to ClassLink, you will be automatically logged in. Otherwise, you will be taken to the launchpad, and after you are logged in to ClassLink, you will be redirected to Insights.
Note: Child ClassLink accounts will not be able to access Insights.
Logging in With Hatch™
ClassLink users who do not want to use the ClassLink application for SSO into Insights can still use their email and password to log in to Insights.
If you already have an email and password for Hatch™:

Open Hatch Insights™ in your Internet browser.

At the login screen, enter your known email and password, and click the Log In button.
If you do not have an email and password for Hatch™ or you don’t remember your password:

Open Hatch Insights™ in your Internet browser.

Before Children Play Ignite
Before children can play Ignite, they require a photo. ClassLink integration customers are recommended to enable the Organization Setting to automatically generate placeholder photos, which means that children can start playing via SSO immediately! Administrators and teachers can choose to add a child photo directly in each child’s profile if desired.
- You can add a photo by uploading it to Insights (Ignite’s reporting site), snapping a picture of a child “live," or asking families to submit a photo to respective teachers.
- To request a photo from families, family information must be added to the SIS. Please allow time for the information to sync with ClassLink, which will ensure that the family’s email address is included within the child’s profile by way of Insights.
- In the following article, you will find details regarding how to add/edit photos in Ignite: How do I add or change a child profile picture? To edit child pictures in Insights, simply navigate to View & Edit Children and then click the edit icon in the row of the child whose picture you'd like to edit. From this page, you can upload a new child photo.
- If you do not want to add child images, then an organizational admin will need to navigate to the Organization Settings page and disable this requirement.

Important Ignite OS-Specific SSO Items
- On an iOS device, using the Safari Browser: After the user launches the Ignite app, the user will be prompted to open the Ignite app. Please select Open. You will have to select Open every time the Ignite app is opened. If you are using the Chrome browser on your iOS device, you will not encounter this pop-up.
- On an Android device running Android 7, using the Chrome Browser: After the user launches the Ignite app, the user will be prompted to open the Ignite app. Please select Always. This will allow the device to always open the Ignite app and will not ask the user to select this option every time the app is launched.
- Using Chromebooks, with Google Chrome: After the user launches the Ignite app, the user will be prompted to open the Ignite app. Please check Remember my choice and tap Open. This will allow the device to always open the Ignite app and will not ask the user to select this option every time the app is launched.
Important Ignite Browser-Specific SSO Items
- Ignite by Hatch™ Browser it is not supported on:
- Mobile devices, such as Apple iPad, Apple iPhone, or Android
- Devices with a 32-bit architecture, such as Microsoft Windows 32-bit
- Google Chrome browser 90 or higher must be used.
