Follow the instructions in the article to archive your program and start fresh for the new school year.
- Click the top ROSTER tab, then click Roster Sync Settings.
- On your Roster Sync Settings page, toggle off the scheduled sync (it should say "Schedule Sync Disabled"). This will ensure that roster data is not pulled into Insights by Hatch™ while the archive is in progress.
- Click Save Settings at the bottom of the screen.
- Then, click the top ROSTER tab, and click Organization Settings.
- On the Organization Settings page, check your archive date. If needed, edit your archive date by clicking the green Edit Archive button.

If you click the green Edit Archive button, you'll be taken to your Archive Settings page. Here, you will first be asked what type of archive you'd like to choose:

Standard Archive: This will archive all classes, children (inactive and active), and family members.

Custom Archive: This allows you to select specific classes or children to archive. For more information about custom archive, check out this article. Family members will be archived automatically with their children.

Opt out: This will allow you to bring all of last year's data into the new school year. No archive will happen. We DO NOT recommend this option for autoroster customers. Note: Opting out can have some unintended consequences. For example, you may end up with more children than you have licenses for, or your data may become skewed as new children join.

- Once you have selected the type of archive, you will select an archive time in the Archive Date drop-down. Here, you can choose either "archive tonight," "archive on default date," or "archive on a selected date" (choosing "archive on a selected date" will allow you to pick a specific future date).
- Once you have made your selection, click Save Archive.
- The archive process will happen overnight. Wait until your program is archived and your new year's roster has been added to Classlink or Clever before continuing to step 10.
- Once you're ready to roster, go back to the Roster Sync Settings page and toggle on the scheduled sync (it should say "Schedule Sync Enabled").
- If you have children from the previous year who will play Ignite by Hatch™ again this year, you can toggle on the Auto-carryover from last year's data option to automatically retrieve their data so that they can pick up where they left off. Note: This must be done before re-enabling the roster sync for the new academic year.
- Finally, make sure you click Save Settings at the bottom of the screen.
