Hatch™ customers who want to integrate with Clever or ClassLink may need to update the information in their system of record. This is your original source of data for your entire system. For many customers, this will be a student information system (SIS). SISs are used to more easily update your school or district data online. It allows all of your data to be located in one system instead of spread across multiple systems.
The following image shows how data is shared between the different systems you use.
As you can see here, in most cases, you share your SIS data with Clever or ClassLink and then they share your data with Hatch.
So when we find errors in your data on our side, the best way to fix them is to go directly to your SIS. You can find more information about Hatch's data rules here.
If you don't use an SIS, then your system of record is whatever original source of data you inputted into Clever or ClassLink.
