Hatch will be ending support for the Hatch Update Client (HUC) in December of 2025.
HUC was used to send upgrades to new versions of software for Hatch tablets, Tables and Interactive Displays to support the support Ignite, TeachSmart, and WePlaySmart software.
- Ignite software is currently supported through in-app updates and no longer requires HUC*
- All Teachsmart Software devices received a free upgrade automatically to IgnitePanel in 2024 and IgnitePanel is currently supported through in-app updates and no longer requires HUC.
- All WePlaySmart Software devices received a free optional upgrade to IgniteTable and IgniteTable is currently supported through in-app updates and no longer requires HUC.
If you have a compatible device that runs Teachsmart of WePlaySmart and would like to upgrade to IgnitePanel or IgniteTable, please contact Hatch Technical Support at 1-800-624-7968, option 4 or via email support@hatchearlylearning.com or by clicking "submit a request" at the top of this screen.
*Model 101s tablets (red bumper) Hatch tablets will cease to receive Ignite updates when HUC is deactivated. Ignite will continue to operate at the current most-recent version as of December 2025.
