For Android and iOS Ignite apps only.
As Ignite by Hatch™ continues to grow, we’re giving you more control over how it uses storage on your device. With our new customizable storage limits, you can ensure that Ignite only takes up as much space as you need, leaving room for other apps and files.
This update helps to keep Ignite running smoothly, even on devices with limited storage, by automatically off-loading games when necessary. You can easily adjust these settings to strike the right balance between Ignite’s content and other tools you rely on.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to set and adjust these new storage options for greater flexibility and control over Ignite’s disk space usage.
How to Set Your Storage Limits
- Open the Ignite app on your device.
- Tap the gear icon in the lower right-hand corner to enter the teacher area, then tap the numbers in ascending order.
- Select Application Settings at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap the Manage Data Storage cloud button.
Here, you’ll find the following options to set your cache limits and clear your existing cache:
- Optimize Ignite Performance (recommended): No cache space limit. Fastest loading times between games. (This is the default setting.)
- Moderate Storage and Performance: 4GB cache storage limit. Average loading times between games.
- Optimize Device Storage: 2GB cache storage limit. Slower loading times between games, but less disk space is used.
5. Select the data storage option that works best for your needs. Please note that setting cache limits may result in slower loading times between games. If you save a lower cache limit than your current cache size, then Ignite will automatically clear the required cache amount to match your limit. You can also clear your existing cache at any time by tapping the Clear Cache button.
