When you add an organization to HatchSync® Powered by GOLD®, you'll be asked how you would like documents sent to GOLD® between checkpoint periods. Typically, documents will be sent overnight within 24–48 hours after the child finishes playing, but for the times in which play might occur outside of the GOLD® checkpoint dates, we ask you how you would like to handle this with three options. Here, we'll explain in detail what the different options mean. For more information on where this choice is, check out this article.
- SEND THEM IMMEDIATELY BETWEEN PERIODS: A great option for those who want to see documents for all play in GOLD® immediately. These documents will be sent within the same 24-hour time period that we typically send documentation in, but they will simply be displayed as part of the next, future checkpoint.
- SEND THEN WHEN THE NEXT PERIOD BEGINS: Perfect for those who still want to get the documentation in GOLD®, but don't want to introduce confusion with documents appearing on the platform in between checkpoint dates. When a checkpoint starts, any "saved-up" documentation will be sent.
- DO NOT SEND DOCUMENTS CREATED BETWEEN PERIODS: Perfect for those organizations that do not want to see documentation appear in GOLD® for learning that occurs outside of the checkpoint dates. This will leave gaps in the GOLD® documentation when compared to the skills that the child has displayed in Ignite by Hatch™.
Hatch Recommendation: Choose the default option, "Send Them Immediately Between Periods." This is the most intuitive setting: The system will continue to send documents when they are outside of a checkpoint, matching how it works when inside a checkpoint. The documentation will appear under the next checkpoint.
