Hatch, in coordination with our Teaching Strategies partner, will retire HatchSync powered by GOLD at the end of June.
Hatch is not going away. This change only affects the HatchSync powered by GOLD integration, not the Hatch platform or the tools you use every day.
After this change, you will no longer need to connect your Teaching Strategies and Hatch accounts or match children between systems. Documentation will no longer automatically sync to SmartTeach.
However, documentation will still be generated and available for you in Hatch Insights.
As children play in Ignite and IgniteTable, documentation is automatically generated based on their activity. This documentation appears in the HatchSync Alignment Report, where you can review it and copy the information into your assessment tool as needed.
What’s Changing
- HatchSync powered by GOLD will retire at the end of June.
- You will no longer need to connect your Teaching Strategies and Hatch accounts.
- Children will no longer need to be matched between systems.
- Documentation will no longer automatically sync to SmartTeach.
What’s Staying the Same
- Ignite and IgniteTable will continue generating documentation based on children's gameplay.
- Documentation will remain available in Hatch Insights.
- You can continue using the HatchSync Alignment Report to review documentation.
- Documentation can still be copied into your assessment tool for your records.
Accessing Your Documentation
You can continue accessing documentation through the HatchSync Alignment Report in Hatch Insights. From this report, you can review the documentation generated through children's gameplay and copy the information for use in your assessment tool.

The HatchSync Alignment Report is flexible enough to fit into your current documentation workflow or support new processes that work best for your classroom schedule.
Ignite and IgniteTable will continue to serve as powerful tools to help you gather the documentation you need to support children's learning and development.
