If a document shows “Not Synced” in the HatchSync® Alignment Report, it means that the information from Ignite by Hatch™ or IgniteTable by Hatch™ has not yet been sent to Teaching Strategies GOLD® (TSG).
Follow these steps to determine why the document is not syncing:
- Check HatchSync Activation and Your Account (organization admins can verify this)
- Make sure that HatchSync is turned on for your organization.
- Confirm that you are signed in with an account that is authorized to sync data. (This and the first bullet point must be done for documents to sync.)
- Confirm IgniteTable Skill Observation
- Some IgniteTable skills must be marked as "observed" before they can sync. (This is a HatchSync setting that organization admins may have configured.)
- For skills pending observation or marked as "not observed," confirm the skill on the Skill Observation page in IgniteTable.
- Review HatchSync Settings (organization admins can verify this)
- Certain settings may prevent skills from syncing (e.g., the skill observation setting referenced in Step 2).
- Check your HatchSync setup to ensure that the relevant skills are configured to sync.
- Consider Timing
- Documents from skills played or evaluated today may not appear immediately. HatchSync runs overnight, so check again the next day.
- Check Child Matching
- Ensure that the child is properly matched between Insights by Hatch™/IgniteTable and TSG. (Unmatched children will prevent documents from syncing.)
- Verify Language and Content Area Settings
- Make sure that the child’s language settings in TSG match the language used in Ignite or IgniteTable.
- Ensure that any relevant content areas (such as science or social studies) are enabled in TSG.
- Check Checkpoint Settings
- Some documents are only sent if created within defined checkpoints, so confirm that the document was created within the applicable checkpoint period.
- Seek Additional Help
- If none of the above steps resolve the issue, contact your administrator or the Hatch support team for assistance.
Tip: Most “Not Synced” issues are temporary and can be resolved by reviewing these settings or waiting for the overnight sync.
