What Is HatchSync®?

HatchSync is our partnership with Teaching Strategies to help teachers collect documentation effortlessly.

HatchSync Powered by GOLD® connects a child's data from their independent play in Ignite by Hatch™ with the objectives from Teaching Strategies. Hatch Insights™ then sends this data, as observations, automatically to the child's profile in GOLD. Ignite provides objective and ongoing documentation, for 26 of the 38 Objectives in Teaching Strategies GOLD® and aligns to 54 different dimensions. How Does HatchSync Work?

1. An organizational admin on the Hatch Insights side will need to complete some initial setup and integration steps to connect Hatch Insights with GOLD.
2. Existing children in Hatch Insights will be automatically matched to children in GOLD based on these three criteria: First Name, Last Name, and Date of Birth. 
3. If we are unable to find a match automatically due to information not lining up perfectly between both systems, a manual match can be made. 
4. After these actions are complete and children begin demonstrating the skills in their core experiences in Ignite, you should begin to see documents populating these children's profiles in GOLD. HatchSync will send a level with most documents, but if a level is not sent, the teacher can enter GOLD and edit the piece of documentation to add the level they believe the child is demonstrating.
