The Ignite Benchmark Report helps you track a child's skill development throughout the school year. The report compares a child's beginning-of-year baseline with their end-of-year skill levels to show how their skills have changed over time.

Features of the Ignite Benchmark Report
1. Beginning-of-Year (BOY) Baseline
The BOY column shows the child's baseline skill levels for the school year. Baselines are based on the lowest skill level the child has demonstrated in Ignite™.
Before October 1, the report displays “Available in Fall” in the BOY column. On October 1, the BOY values become available and continue to update as the child plays and additional skill data becomes available.
2. End-of-Year (EOY) Skill Levels
The EOY column shows the child's end-of-year skill levels.
Before April 1, the EOY values are not yet available. On April 1, the EOY values become available and continue to update through July 31 as the child demonstrates additional skills.
3. Growth
The Growth column compares the child's BOY baseline with their EOY skill level to show the difference between the two values.
Growth becomes available on April 1, when the EOY values are added to the report. Both EOY and Growth continue to update through July 31 as new skill data becomes available.
4. Viewing Skill Descriptions
Hover over a skill level in the report to view its full description. This provides additional context to help you understand the child's demonstrated skills.
5. Subdomains Shown on the Report
The report displays only the subdomains that apply to the child's grade level. Subdomains that fall outside the child's grade-level goal will not appear.
This helps you focus on the skills relevant to the child's learning.
Understanding the Annual Report Cycle
The Ignite Benchmark Report follows an automatic annual cycle.
- August 1: The report resets for the new school year.
- Before October 1: The BOY column displays “Available in Fall.”
- October 1: BOY baseline values become available.
- Before April 1: EOY and Growth values are not yet available.
- April 1: EOY and Growth values become available.
- Through July 31: BOY baselines, EOY skill levels, and Growth continue to update as new play data becomes available.
The report resets every August 1 to begin tracking progress for the next school year.
