The teacher area in IgniteTable gives you access to important features designed for teachers. Follow the steps below to see what you can find there.
How Do I Access the Teacher Area?
First, you must be logged in to the table to enter the teacher area. Then, from the Choose a Class screen or the child login screen, you can touch the gear icon in the lower left-hand corner and then tap the numbers in ascending order to enter the teacher area. Tapping the numbers are meant to keep children from entering this area.
What Can I Do in the Teacher Area?
View Reports & Recordings
When you tap the View Reports & Recordings cloud icon, you'll be taken to a screen with our reports site, Hatch Insights™, loaded on the screen.
After logging in, you can view all your reports in Hatch Insights directly on the table. However, we highly advise moving from IgniteTable to your laptop or desktop computer if you want to access reports for an extended amount of time. You'll find that reports are much easier to view and interact with on your own computer and that you can print or save reports to your own files.
Your Hatch Insights login will use the same email and password that you used to log into IgniteTable.
Manage Class
Similar to reports and recordings, the Manage Class cloud icon will show you a screen from Hatch Insights.
IgniteTable will keep you logged in to Hatch Insights for one day. This means that if you switch from View Reports & Recordings to Manage Class, you won't have to log in again. You can also exit the teacher area, and as long as you enter again within the day, you can access our Hatch Insights features without logging in again.
Again, we highly advise moving to a laptop or desktop computer if you plan to add children or edit your class. Managing your class(es) may require a lot of typing or even file uploads, which are easier to complete with your computer.
Explore Experiences
When you tap the Explore Experiences cloud icon, you'll be able to view and play any existing IgniteTable game. Playing the game from here will not collect any data. We recommend using this feature for practice. You can find a more detailed article about this feature here: IgniteTable Explore Experiences.
Manage Settings
If you click the Manage Settings cloud icon, you will find options to adjust the audio settings, check for updates, or look at your system information.
Audio Settings
On the audio settings screen, you can use the sliders to adjust the volume of IgniteTable.
Note: The background music, sound effect, and narration sliders only affect the volume of elements outside of the games.
Check for Updates
IgniteTable will automatically update for you, but if you have any technical problems or don’t have permission to update the software, you or your IT team may use this setting to make sure your table is up to date.
System Information
By clicking System Information, you can find detailed information about your table, including the device ID and operating system.
