With IgnitePanel, you can save child work samples using Classroom Portfolios. These work samples can show your children's yearlong progress to their parents or caregivers or your administrators.
1. Navigate to the Classroom Portfolios tab in the top menu bar.
2. To add child portfolio folders, navigate to your Documents folder. You can find this folder by clicking the Windows start icon in your toolbar at the bottom of the screen and then finding File Explorer. If File Explorer is pinned to your toolbar, click it from there. If you're still having trouble finding this folder, you can use the search bar and type "file explorer" to locate it, or you can use your keyboard to type the shortcut Window key + E to open File Explorer.
For systems with Windows 11, your screen may look a bit different. Here's an image showing where to find the Windows start icon and File Explorer in your toolbar.
3. Open the Classroom Portfolios folder in the Documents folder.
4. Create a new folder within the Classroom Portfolios folder for each child in your class.
5. When you're finished adding folders, return to IgnitePanel and navigate to home by clicking the Home tab in the top menu.
6. Next, click the Classroom Portfolios tab again. Now you should see all the folders you just created.
7. As children engage with IgnitePanel, you can now save their work in their folder. First, click Save as you exit an activity.
8. Find the child folder you want to add the activity to. Name the new file and select the file type. Click Save.
9. When you return to IgnitePanel, you will find the file in this child's folder under Classroom Portfolios.
