At Hatch, our dedicated Learning Experts have created a library of printable activities called Curricular Experiences. These hands-on activities are aligned to the skills children practice while playing Ignite and IgniteTable.
Curricular Experiences are designed to extend learning beyond the screen. You can use them for small groups, one-on-one practice, whole-class instruction, or at-home learning. They can also be used independently of Hatch software.
Below is an overview of how to access and use Curricular Experiences based on your role.
Teachers
Ignite Dashboard Tile
After logging into Hatch Insights, you may see a dashboard tile labeled Curricular Experiences.
This tile highlights up to four children who may benefit from extra practice on a specific skill. Recommendations are based on each child’s recent play in Ignite. Because every Curricular Experience is mapped directly to Ignite skills, we can suggest targeted activities to support learning.
The tile displays a recent recommendation that includes the greatest number of children.
From the tile, you can:
Select View Experience to open the recommended activity
Select View Recommended Experiences to see all recommendations
IgniteTable Dashboard Tile
If you use IgniteTable, you may see a tile labeled Curricular Activities on your dashboard.
This tile shows up to four children who recently practiced a skill during their IgniteTable session. Based on that play, we recommend activities to help extend and reinforce their learning.
The tile reflects your most recent play session.
From the tile, you can:
Select View Experience to open the recommended activity
Select View Recommended Experiences to see all recommendations

You can access Curricular Experiences from the top navigation menu.

You will only see options for the Hatch products your program is licensed to use.
You can also select At-Home Family Activities to view the activities available to families in Insights.
Recommended Curricular Experiences
The Recommended Curricular Experiences page displays personalized activity recommendations based on children’s play in Ignite or IgniteTable.
You can switch between Ignite and IgniteTable using the tabs below the blue header bar.
Each activity card includes:
The activity name
The targeted skill
The children the activity is recommended for

Curricular Experiences Library
The Curricular Experiences Library provides access to all available activities. On this page, you'll find our library of Curricular Experiences organized by domain and separated by Hatch product type.
To find an activity:
Select a domain you would like to focus on
Browse the subdomains
Select an activity card
Each card displays:
The activity name
The skill level of the activity
You will also see a button to access At-Home Family Activities.
Individual Curricular Experience Page
When you open an activity, you will see:
Domain, subdomain, and targeted skill
A description of the activity
Preparation steps and required materials
Recommended group size
Step-by-step instructions
Discussion questions to promote higher-level thinking
A tip to support all learners
A link to a Family Connection Activity that covers the same skill (if available)
All activities can be printed or saved using the Print Activity button in the blue header bar.
At-Home Family Activities (Educator View)
Educators can preview the Skill Practice Activities available to families.
These activities appear exactly as families see them in Insights.
To find an activity:
Select the plus icon next to a domain
Choose from the available activity buttons
These activities are designed for children to complete at home with family member support.
You may choose to print an activity and send it home using the Print Activity button.
Family Members
Practice Together
After logging into Insights, you may see a dashboard tile labeled Practice Together.
The recommended skills on this tile are based on your child’s recent play in Ignite.
Select the tile to open your library of activities. You can also access these activities by selecting Practice Together from the top menu.
Activities are organized by domain and subdomain.
