For teachers who want to use the Calendar & Weather activity in their classroom but notice that the dates need to be updated, you can follow the steps below to customize this activity to meet your needs.

- Find the Calendar & Weather activity in Daily Routines, and click the Additional Resources button on the right-hand side.
- Next, click the Make It Your Own Template button.
- Once the activity is open, navigate to the slide that shows a calendar with the first day beginning on the day of the week that you need. For example, Slide 1 shows the month beginning on a Sunday, Slide 2 shows the month beginning on a Monday, and so on for the remaining slides. To navigate, you can use the arrows at the bottom or the pages bar on the left.
- Once you've chosen the correct calendar slide, choose select mode by clicking the arrow icon in the top menu.
- Select the object you want to edit. In this example, we're going to modify the month to end on the 30th instead of the 31st, so the object is the day on the calendar.
- Right-click to access the menu. Hover over Lock / unlock selected object(s), then select Unlock selected object(s).
- Now the whole group of calendar days has become movable.
- Because we only want to edit one day of the calendar, we need to ungroup the objects. Right-click the object. Hover over Group selected items, then select Ungroup selected items.
- Now specific elements can be edited.
- For the purposes of modifying the month to end on the 30th, first, delete the gray dotted box and the date that says "31" by right-clicking on the object and selecting the trash can icon.
- Then, to change the white box to dark gray, right-click the box and select the Color picker tool.
- In the Color picker pop-up, choose the eyedropper tool and click one of the dark gray boxes. The color will automatically change and the color picker pop-up will disappear.
- Finally, lock the calendar objects again so they can't be dragged around. Drag a selection box across the whole calendar and all unlocked objects will be selected.

Right-click in the selection box. Hover over Lock / unlock selected object(s), then click Lock selected object(s).

Now your Calendar & Weather activity is modified to reflect the month and dates you need. To save the file, click on the "e" menu button in the top right-hand corner, then click Save as. Make sure you save the file in your My Content folder.
