How Many Teaching Staff Members Can Access a Class?
There is no limit to the number of teachers that can be assigned to a class. Teachers can belong to more than one school if this setting has been updated on the Organization Settings page. Teachers with this setting enabled cannot belong to more than 10 schools. For more information, check out this article.
Can You Import From ChildPlus?
An organization administrator can export data from ChildPlus and then import the data into Hatch Insights™ through a CSV file. Learn more about ChildPlus data imports.
When Importing Information From Another Database (e.g., ChildPlus), Does the Class Name Have to Be the Same?
Yes, school and class names in Insights need to match the names in ChildPlus (if you are using the ChildPlus import) so that we can match existing classes to your import each time.
Do All Parents Have to Have an Email Address?
Yes, family members need an email address to access Insights or Ignite by Hatch™. The family member's email address is added to the child's profile with which they are being associated.
Do We Add Both a Parent's Email Address and Phone Number or Just One of Them?
We no longer require parent phone numbers; only a parent email address is required. Family members need an email address to access Insights or Ignite. The family member’s email address is added to the child’s profile with which they are associated.
Can One Email Address Be Used for Siblings, or Does Each Child Need an Email Address?
One family member's email address can be associated with multiple children! However, each child user should have their own profile within Ignite to capture individual progress data.
When Adding Children, Do You Have to Have a Picture Prior to Adding the Child to the Class?
A photo is not required prior to, or at the time of, adding a child for any rostering method. However, Ignite uses child photos or images to help children log in and play.
Children will touch their photo twice to begin playing in Ignite. This helps to confirm the child’s identity. Children must have a photo to identify their profile and begin play within Ignite. If a child does not want to use a photo of themselves, we recommend using an image of their favorite book character, avatar, superhero, and so on.

How Do You Link to TSG Gold?
There are two steps that an organization administrator needs to complete to activate HatchSync®. First, you need to create an administrator user account in GOLD®. Then, you need to connect to HatchSync® in GOLD®.
How Do You Remove a Child?
An organization administrator, a school administrator, or a teacher can deactivate a child’s profile by going into the roster area of Insights. Choose the View & Edit Children option, search for the child’s name, and then click Deactivate.
How Do You Close Out or Archive Children for the New School Term?
Insights will automatically archive all classes and children on August 1 unless your organization admin has edited your archive settings! After archiving, your account will then be ready to set up for the new academic year.
