This article is for customers who recently upgraded from TeachSmart® to IgnitePanel by Hatch™ and now have the IgnitePanel software. If you're not sure if your software has been upgraded, please see TeachSmart® Upgrade to IgnitePanel.
Note: To access IgnitePanel reports in Hatch Insights™, your program must have an active IgnitePanel license in addition to the IgnitePanel software. If your program has an active IgnitePanel license and you find that you are unable to log in using the following steps, please tell your administrator to contact us.
Your next steps will differ if your program uses other Hatch products and you already have an account created for Insights. If you already have an account, continue to the next section of the article. If you have never used Insights before, please skip to this section: You Do NOT Have a Hatch Insights™ Account
You Already Have a Hatch Insights™ Account
Using IgnitePanel is simple if you already have a teacher account set up in Insights. If you do not have an Insights account, please skip to the next section.
Note: Only users with the teacher role will be able to log in to IgnitePanel. If you have an admin account, please check out this article: Getting Started With IgnitePanel by Hatch™.
- When you first open IgnitePanel after your upgrade, you will see a pop-up telling you all of the improvements we've made to your software with IgnitePanel. Click Continue.
- Now you'll be asked if you have login credentials. Click Go to Login to confirm that you do.
- Enter the email address and password you use for Insights to log in to IgnitePanel. Click Log In. If you do not remember your password, you can click Forgot your password? to reset it.
- After you log in to IgnitePanel, you can immediately get started playing activities with your children. If you would like to save children's work samples, you will need to create child portfolios. When you're ready to log out of IgnitePanel, click the Log Out button in the upper right-hand corner. This will take you directly to the login screen so that another teacher can enjoy IgnitePanel.
What Is Different in Insights With IgnitePanel?
Your Insights account will have a few new features for you to explore, including the following:
- A dashboard for IgnitePanel in the Dashboards drop-down.
- An IgnitePanel Reports drop-down in the top navigation bar with three new reports (learn more about the reports offered for IgnitePanel).
You Do NOT Have a Hatch Insights™ Account
If you do not have an Insights account, your administrator will first need to create your account. They can find the steps to do so here: [Org Admins] Getting Started With IgnitePanel by Hatch™.
When your account is created, you will receive a welcome email. If you do not receive a welcome email, then reach out to your administrator to ensure that your account has been created.
Follow the steps in [Teachers] Getting Started With IgnitePanel by Hatch™ to complete your setup and log in to IgnitePanel.
What If I Need to Use IgnitePanel Now?
If you don't have a login and need to use IgnitePanel immediately, you can click Skip For Now to use the software uninterrupted. You can also check the box in the lower left-hand corner to dismiss the pop-up for 90 days.
When you skip the login, no Insights report data will be saved. IgnitePanel can only save Insights report data if a teacher is logged in.
Note: Classroom Portfolios, Daily Activities Plans, and My Content features are still available on your local device regardless of whether the login is used or skipped.
After skipping the login, you can always click the Log In button in the upper right-hand corner to go back to the login screen.
