The IgnitePanel Device Version Report keeps track of all the devices logged in to the IgnitePanel program and their current software versions. This report is found in Hatch Insights™. You can visit Insights from your IgnitePanel or on a computer using this link: https://insights.hatchearlylearning.com/.
Where Do I Find the IgnitePanel Device Version Report?
The IgnitePanel Device Version Report can be found in Insights, which is where you'll find all reports related to IgnitePanel. Once logged in to Insights, navigate to the top menu, where you'll find a tab labeled IgnitePanel Reports. Hover over this tab, then click Device Version Report in the drop-down menu.
What Data Is in This Report?
The Device Version Report shows you all the IgnitePanel devices teachers logged in to your program or school. Teachers will see only the device or devices they have logged into. Teachers must be logged in to the IgnitePanel device for this data to show in Insights.
Let's look at each of the columns you can find in this report.
- Device ID: This is the unique ID pulled from your device to help identify the device. Different types of devices will have different formats for this ID.
- Last Used: This is the most recent date of any activity within the IgnitePanel software. This does not include actions that take place within other applications or on websites like YouTube.
- IgnitePanel Version: This is the version number of the IgnitePanel application that your device last used. If this number appears in orange font, then your device is out of date. You can see the current version in orange text at the top of the report. Ensure that you log in to this device while connected to the Internet so that the update can sync to your device.
- Teacher Logged In: This is the last teacher who logged in to IgnitePanel on the device.
- Notes: In this column, you can add notes related to the device by clicking Add Note. Notes could include your asset tag or some other identifier of the device if you choose.
At the top of the report, you'll find a variety of filters (school, class, and teacher) that you can use to view the data that's important to you.
How Can I Use This Report?
This report can be invaluable for administrators for two purposes: tracking your IgnitePanel version on each device and ensuring 100% implementation.
Tracking IgnitePanel Versions
If you notice that the number in the IgnitePanel Version column is in orange font, encourage your teacher to log in to IgnitePanel on that device while connected to the Internet so that the software can automatically update. We recommend keeping your devices up to date with the current version to ensure you receive all our new features.
Ensuring Full Implementation
With IgnitePanel, a teacher must log in to the program for the device to begin being tracked on the Device Version Report. If your Device Version Report does not have as many devices listed as you would expect, please reach out to your teachers to ensure that they log in to IgnitePanel with their email and password.
When you order IgnitePanel, Hatch notes the number of devices you intend to use. To help you keep track of implementation, a notice will be displayed at the top of the report if the number of devices shown is less than what we expect.
