Note: These changes will go into effect with Ignite 3.14.0 (coming early August 2022).
This school year (2022–2023) Entry/Exit will look a bit different than last year (2021–2022). Last year, you may have noticed that during a specific time period, children played a special set of experiences we called Skill Check-Ups. These Skill Check-Ups launched twice during the school year (at the beginning and toward the end of the year) but were only presented during a specific time period (i.e., Oct 1st–Oct.15th and again May 1st–May 15th).
So, What's New?
-
All children will be presented with the Entry Experiences as soon as they start playing Ignite by Hatch™ for the first time in the school year (prior to moving into Core Experiences).
-
The Entry Experiences enable us to make a baseline assessment of what each child knows before they begin playing Ignite (and enables educators to see growth as the school year ends).
-
At the end of the school year, a report that shows where children were at Entry and where they are at the end of the year will be available via Hatch Insights™.
-
Rather than Entry/Exit, this feature is now referred to as Entry Experiences.
