Guided Practice is a feature comprised of several Math & Literacy digital learning experiences delivered by way of the gradual release model in the Ignite by Hatch™ tool.
- Gradual Release is a research-based, three-step process that supports children’s acquisition of skills through verbal and visual cues, all of which follow the “I do, we do, you do” theory.
- Through an engaging digital play environment, Ignite helps children acquire the skills necessary for success in kindergarten (and beyond!) and the Guided Practice feature provides additional instructional support for skills not yet developed while nurturing confidence and independence!
- The embedded visual and verbal cues woven into the fabric of guided practice experiences increase the likelihood that children will engage and demonstrate understanding of the skill(s) being taught and encouraging children to take risks in a supported environment!
The best part? Guided Practice works diligently behind the scenes of classroom learning, providing objective data to teachers!
- Real-time reports let teachers know when Guided Practice-supported skill development is occurring and where additional teacher-led instructional support is needed:
Skills supported through Guided Practice
Guided Practice powerfully extends teachers’ reach, increasing the rate of math and literacy skill acquisition and retention across entire classrooms while moving children onward and upward!
