WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE FOR ENTRY AND EXIT CHECK-UPS?
- Entry Check-Ups automatically launch on August 15th (or, on whatever date between August 15th and November 1st each child first logs into utilize the Ignite by Hatch™ technology platform).
- Entry Check-Ups CLOSE on November 1st (of the same school year).
- After November 1st, the Entry Check-Ups will no longer appear in the app for the current school year, as they are meant to measure each child's skill levels at the beginning of the year.
- After November 1st, children who participated in the Entry Skill Check-Up experiences will be introduced to the core experiences (within Ignite).
- Exit Check-Ups automatically launch on May 1st.
- Exit Check-Ups CLOSE on July 15th (of the same school year).
- Exit Check-Ups ONLY launch for children who participated in the Entry Skill Check-Ups (earlier that school year).
- Most children complete the Entry Check-Ups (and Exit Check-Ups) within 2 weeks of starting play.
- To collect and analyze data for the Growth Report, the language profile must be the same for both Entry and Exit Skill Check-Ups.
- As children engage with the Entry/Exit Check-Up Experiences, you will always see the 'text bubble' at the top of the screen (i.e., Skill Check-Up: 1 of 31):
- This specialized message is unique to Entry/Exit Skill Check-Ups and enables teachers to track where each child is within the Entry and/or Exit process.
