WHAT ARE THE Ignite by Hatch™ ENTRY AND EXIT CHECK-UPS?
- The purpose of Entry Check-Ups is to measure the child's skill level within four Learning Domains at the beginning of the school year.
- The purpose of Exit Check-Ups is to measure the child's skill level in the same four Learning Domains at the end of the school year for comparison.
- HatchSync documentation will NOT be sent for Entry/Exit Check-Ups.
- Insights, which is the Ignite by Hatch™ data reporting platform, calculates the difference between the Entry/Exit scores and measures each child’s growth (in the four domains), over the course of a school year.
- The purpose of an entry score is to measure the baseline or the skills the child comes with into the classroom. This knowledge enables teachers to measure the amount of learning growth that took place over the course of the year in his/her classroom.
- Each Skill Check-Up (i.e., Entry and Exit) consists of up to 31 experiences that measure each child's understanding within 4 Learning Domains:
- Literacy
- Language & Communication
- Mathematics
- Social-Emotional Development
- Children should complete the Skill Check-Up independently, without help from adults or other children, so that their skill level can be measured accurately.
