Beginning May 28th, Ignite by Hatch is releasing a range of new and updated experiences for all children to play, learn, and grow! These exciting new experiences support children in developing skills through kindergarten and into the beginning of 1st grade in Mathematics, Literacy, Language & Communication, and Social-Emotional Development. In addition, new subdomains are being added to support wholistic skill development, building an even stronger foundation for young children. Examples of new subdomains include Subitizing, Decoding, Academic Vocabulary, and Executive Functioning! We are also introducing Guided Practice experiences, which will provide children with instructional supports to develop literacy and math skills that a child is not yet able to demonstrate.
In Hatch Insights, the reports will be updated throughout the month of June to reflect these new and updated experiences, as well as the additional levels, and subdomains. As part of this update, on May 28th, the Insights Progress reports will be unable to display progress for any skill demonstrated by children in previous experiences that are updated in Ignite on this date. Progress will be reset for any skill affected by this change. As a result, you will see a small reduction in overall skill progress, and specific skills in the individual child progress report being reset. The Play Time report will continue to show the full amount of time that children have played Ignite by Hatch.
If you require a snapshot of the reports as they appear currently, we suggest logging in to Hatch Insights prior to May 28th, and using the print functionality to either print physical copies, or PDF copies, of the reports.
The new experiences will be available in the Ignite by Hatch app beginning May 28th. The app will prioritize the updated experiences, and so we encourage child play after this date. Children will love the new, updated experiences, and this will quickly fill back in any progress that had to be reset.
