If your computer is not performing correctly or needs to be reset back to factory settings, follow the instructions below to perform a factory reset of the machine.
Please note that this process works on Windows 10 computers only and will delete all photos, applications, or documents you have saved on your computer since it was originally installed. The Hatch programs will remain installed on the computer after recovery.
1. Hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off your device.
2. Press the power button again to turn on your device.
3. On the first sign that Windows has started (for example, some devices show the Hatch logo when restarting) hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off your device.
4. Press the power button again to turn on your device.
5. When Windows starts again, hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off your device.
6. Press the power button again to turn on your device.
7. This time, allow your device to fully start up.
8. Select Advanced options.
9. Select Troubleshoot.
10. Select Hatch Recovery and allow the system to restart.
11. Continue by pressing uppercase Y.
12. The recovery process begins and takes 5-6 minutes.
13. When complete, press any key to continue to restart the computer.
