Hatch® is very careful to prevent the loss of data about a child's progress. For this reason, we do not allow teachers to delete progress data for a child if that child has more than 10 minutes of total time on task.
Deactivating Children
For children with greater than 10 minutes of time on task, teachers can deactivate the child's account if needed using the following steps:
- Log in to Insights, click Class Management in the top menu and select View All Children from the dropdown meu.
- Then click Deactivate beside that child's name. Children that are set as Inactive will not lose any saved progress.
Reactivating Children
Deactivated children can be re-activated without losing saved progress. To reactivate children, use the following steps:
- From the View All Children page, change the status dropdown to Inactive. This will display a list of children set as inactive.
- Click Activate next to the child you would like to reactivate.
