As children play through the Ignite by Hatch™ Entry Experiences, you can view their progress via the Insights Entry Report.
How to Find the Insights Entry Report
To find the Insights Entry Reports, log into your Hatch Insights™ account. In the top menu bar, select REPORTS. In this drop-down menu, you will find a subheading labeled Entry Reports that includes options to view the report as an Administrator (School, Class, or Child) or as a Teacher (Class or Child).
What You Will Find in the Insights Entry Report
Child Entry Reports
Upon opening the Entry Report, you will find a graph that represents a child (class or school) and the journey through Entry Experiences. Entry Experiences are composed of 38 digital experiences, and within the graph, you will find 38 dots (in each row).
When viewing a child's Entry Report, the color of the dot represents whether a child has engaged with the experience and if the child demonstrated the skill (or if the skill was not demonstrated). If a child has not demonstrated the skill, the next experience in that Subdomain will not appear (i.e., the child will not proceed with experiences within that Subdomain). When you hover over each dot, you will see the skill to which the dot is associated.
Above the dots, you'll find labels that show which domains the skills are in. You can click on the domain icon to highlight the domain you are interested in.
School or Class Entry Reports
When reviewing School or Class Entry Reports, you will find the average from all children in the school (or class) who have played each Entry Experience. For example, if the majority of children demonstrated a skill, the dot will be green. This design enables administrators (and instructional coaches) to help with curriculum planning.
Above the graph of dots, you will see options enabling you to filter data. For example, you can filter the rows to show School, Class, or Demographics (as outlined in the report) as well as the Learning Domains and Subdomains.
Top Skills to Practice (Class Entry Report Only)
Below the graph, you will find information about the top skills for which each class needs the most practice. The skills are chosen based on how the children in your class perform during their Entry Experiences. If many children in your class are not demonstrating a particular skill, it will appear here:
Entry Completion Indicators
As children finish the Ignite Entry Experiences, the Entry Report will show you what percentage of your children, classes, or schools have finished Entry. As well as the current average completion time for the children in your organization. Also, when a child, class, or school has finished their Entry Experiences, you will see a green checkmark by their name.
